I didn't release a single game in the year of 2005, after making and releasing three games the previous year. However, I did have a lot of mostly finished games, and now, after over HALF of 2006 has passed, I've finally been able to get a game built enough to release it! Enter Clock Tournament!
Clock Tournament is a game I made for Clock Day 2006 (I try to make a clock game every year for it). There's a competition going on for it this year, where you could win one of 3 Xbox 360's. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I win one, since I put a TON of time into this, it plays well, and otherwise I'm so poor I wouldn't be able to sneak a 360 into my budget for probably another year (contrast this to me buying the first XBox within 3 months of its launch, after having the money yet trying to HOLD OUT as long as I could before buying one). Now I've wanted one for months, but haven't been able to afford it for almost a year already.
But I was making the game anyway. The contest is just a perk. So give the game a try, make any suggestions for improvements here, and hopefully enjoy yourself

.
Expect to see 2-3 more games released by the end of the year, as well! You might even see another one before the end of this month!

And I've heard it on the grapevine that you say the word "fun" too often in casual conversation. This guy, who shall not be named, although he likes eucalyptus and his name is the same as a popular colorful memory testing electronic game, says to knock it off.

It tastes like a heart attack!
Your first favorite coding error is one that I've replaced with a similar one. I have been working on a massive commercial engine that must use 5-6 simultaneously loaded .swf files which are interchanged through its use (it's built to be modular so that the functionality to a point can be interchangeable, not just interchangeable graphics). I often mix up _root, _level2, _level4, etc, usually due to pasted code from a different level. The second coding error is a constant with me as well ^_^
My favorite of all time though is any bug that appears despite PERFECT coding, and then to discover later that it really should work, and it is a Flash bug that makes it not work. I discovered nearly every Flash glitch (literally) only to later find a site detailing every bug (I think on Macromedia's site) that I had found. If I had found that site earlier, it would have saved me so much agonizing work. Second to this is methods or objects etc in Flash that are not properly documented, leading to tons of trial and error.
I'm just thankful of how much I've cleaned up my coding practice and learned better debugging techniques; things are so much easier to debug now. But there's still always the odd persistent silly bug that will popup, taking days to fix until finally the simplest of errors is discovered.

Taste is the enemy of art.
Your favorite coding errors? Lately, mine is accidentally naming one of your variables the same as another variable higher up (usually as a result of copy/pasted code) and having it's contents overwritten and screwing up the whole flow of the program. Another favorite is swearing up and down you've got the logic right, going manually through the code step by step multiple times, and you find out later that the problem was in another section of the code entirely. Another good one is sometimes a _root function call buried in a movie clip won't be called unless you assign its (nonexistant) return value to a variable, which doesn't make and sense at all. I also love the classic forgetting a "semicolon/parenthesis/quotation mark", but at least in Flash those are fairly easy to find.
